On Friday, January 10th, the Braubacher Pankgrafen warmly welcomed two special guests to the Remter: Alfred Waurig, the 2nd Chairman of Tafel Koblenz e.V., and Richard Landauer from Tafel Lahnstein. The occasion was the official handover of the proceeds from the mulled wine sales during the Braubacher Christmas market.

The proceeds benefit the “Hidden Angels” platform of Tafel Koblenz, which collects donations for children in need whose parents are unable to meet basic necessities due to financial constraints. This support covers essentials like furniture (e.g., beds), clothing, class trip subsidies, and sometimes even gifts. Educators, social workers, and others close to affected children can contact the Hidden Angels via a short email (engel@steinlein-kunze.de) to describe the child’s needs. The required items are typically purchased by the person who reported the case, and expenses are reimbursed immediately after the receipt is submitted.
The “Hidden Angels” provide fast and unbureaucratic help – with the child remaining unaware that their parents couldn’t afford the needed items. Additionally, the initiative supports five breakfast projects in schools in Koblenz and Lahnstein.
During the ceremony, Statthalter Stefan Weber presented a check for €2,138.10 to Mr. Waurig, who expressed his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the “Hidden Angels” for the generous donation.
A special thank you goes to all the visitors of the Christmas market whose mulled wine purchases made this donation possible. The Braubacher Pankgrafen are proud to contribute to such a worthy cause, supporting children in need within the region.
