About us

The Tafel Koblenz was founded on 15 July 2000.
It opened its first distribution centre in 2005.

At the same time, the ‘Hidden Angels’ platform was incorporated into the Tafel.

260 exclusively volunteer helpers now collect and distribute food worth around €5 million a year in 9 distribution centres. This corresponds to a collection volume of 1,500 tonnes per year.

1100 households with over 5,000 people are helped.

6 refrigerated lorries are in use every day.

80,000 hours of voluntary work are carried out with great pleasure by the volunteers.

10 neighbourhood food banks and 12 social institutions are supported every week.

We support many animal shelters and animal welfare organisations with pet food.
