After more than 17 years of loyal support — in the Goldgrube distribution center and as collectors for the Urmitz branch — Ilse Müller, Hans Schmitz, and Herbert Sauerborn have now ended their long-standing volunteer work with the Tafel Koblenz.

The heavy crates that had to be picked up from donors and distributed to recipients every week have simply become too much, and it’s now time for younger helpers to take over.
Over the years, the donors’ employees and the Tafel Koblenz recipients had grown dear to their hearts — they had known most of them for many years. Every week, Herbert Sauerborn collected the food donations for the Urmitz branch, while Ilse Müller and Hans Schmitz ensured with joy and enthusiasm that everything was properly distributed at the Goldgrube location.
With the donated and distributed food, they were able to make life financially easier for many families. And often, as a “final touch,” there was “something for beauty” too — whenever a few drugstore items made their way into the Tafel Koblenz’s baskets.
The entire board and all colleagues would like to express their heartfelt thanks once again for their extraordinary commitment over so many years.
We wish them good health and a relaxed, enjoyable retirement.
