Before the home game against Kaiserslautern 2 on Wednesday, the active fan scene of TuS Koblenz (Nordkurve) came up with another donation campaign: this time, they called on their members and supporters to donate food for the Koblenz Food Bank (Tafel Koblenz). For this purpose, a food bank Sprinter van was parked in the stadium parking lot before the match, where the donations could be dropped off.
And the result was impressive: three pallets were filled with all kinds of food, ranging from pasta and stews to beverages. On top of that, monetary donations exceeding 150 euros were collected.
“With our campaigns, we are constantly looking for social areas in Koblenz that we can support. We chose the food bank this time because we see that the number of people in need is increasing, while companies are throwing away more and more. And with the food bank, we know that the donations reach those in need directly,” said a representative of the Nordkurve Koblenz.
Peter Bäsch, Chairman of the Koblenz Food Bank, expressed his gratitude for the great generosity of the TuS Koblenz fans.
